Rihanna’s Next Album Will Be An All-Star Event

Rihanna will be working with The All-American Rejects’ vocalist Tyson Ritter in her upcoming studio album, according to SRP Music Group. In addition to Tyson, she’ll also be working with Stargate, James Fauntleroy, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart and The-Dream.

Although the new project hasn’t been officially titled yet, some say it will be called “Rated R” and will be available for purchasing this fall. Previously according to Rihanna-Diva, Rihanna was rumored to go rock but will keep the R&B tune by mixing the rock materials with pop sounds.

Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z and Kanye West, OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, Soulja Boy, Shontelle and Pharrell Williams are expected to contribute to this new album as well.

In other news, Rihanna grabbed two prizes at 2009 Urban Music Awards which was held on July 17 at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. She was named Best Female Act, and her music video for single “Rehab” won Best Music Video.

Very well deserved honors.

According to Media Take Out, Rihanna is shopping around for a reality show. It seems she’d like to share her fascinating life with her fans and believes that a reality show would be the perfect venue.

According to an insider, cameras will follow Rihanna into the recording studio, when she’s hanging out with her friends and even when she goes on dates. Sources say that it’ll be sort of like Entourage – but from the female prospective.

So hoping this is a real deal. Can you imagine?!

Rihanna, Lady GaGa, and Kanye West are all intertwined in the news this week – and since they’re 3 of my very favorites, I’m all over it!

Rihanna made her live comeback this week, at a fashion event in New York.

She performed two impromptu songs with her friend Kanye West at the Costume Institute Gala.

An eyewitness tells E! Online: “Kanye asked her to do it. It was his idea, but (Vogue editor / event organizer) Anna Wintour obviously had to approve it.”

Lady GaGa has said that Kanye West’s remix of ‘Poker Face’ is “exactly what the song is about“.

She dismissed fans’ claims that West, Kid Cudi and Common’s version gives the song a different meaning than she intended it to have.

In fact, in an interview with MTV News, Lady GaGa said: “It’s funny, because a lot of my fans were like, ‘GaGa, Kanye wrote a song…and it’s not about what your record’s about. Your record is about gambling. And this song is about dirty things’,” she said.

“I said to them, ‘You’re wrong. Kanye was right’.”

“It was really exciting that he had so much insight into what the song was about,” GaGa added.

Lady GaGa also spoke about how excited she was about Madonna attending one of her shows in New York. Yeah, I guess!

Rihanna and Andrew Bynum Share a Steak Dinner

Hopefully Rihanna is moving forward and Chris Brown will become smaller and smaller in her rearview mirror.

According to Web reports, the beautiful singer shared a dinner with L.A. Lakers’ center Andrew Bynum at a Beverly Hills steakhouse last weekend. Although Chris Brown has been spotted with at least one other date since he beat Rihanna, this is the first time she has been seen with another man.

Brown has been charged with felony assault and making criminal threats after he punched, bit and choked Rihanna until she was unconscious in his car on Feb. 8. He pleaded not guilty, but the pictures tell a different story.

Unfortunately, as much as Rihanna’s fans want to see her away from Chris Brown, other reports suggest they are getting back together. I guess time will tell.

Rihanna Fans Prepare to Show Their Love For Her and Disgust with Someone Else

Someone passed the following information along to me. As a Rihanna fan, I came here to post it the minute I opened the e-mail. I only wish I could plaster it all over the internet!

Rihanna fans are preparing to shred Chris Brown posters, pictures, cds, etc. Sweet!

New York is having a “Shred Your Ex” party the day before Valentines Day. Radio Station WBLI has invited members of Rihanna’s Fan Club and other fans across the nation to join the pop star’s side along with others who are “unlucky in love.”

According to Nancy Cambino, the station’s operations manager, “Valentine’s Day should stand for love so we find it fitting to make the Friday the 13th right before Valentine’s Day a day for revenge for those who were unlucky in love. Whether you’re a Rihanna fan or not, we can all empathize with being with someone who caused love to go wrong.”

Statistically 40 percent of America will be alone on Valentines Day. Divorce rate is at an all-time high in the last few years, and radio station BLI wants to bring America together for a common cause.

Did Rihanna Prevent Alexandra Burke From Meeting Chris Brown?

Alexandra Burke I normally don’t post a lot of gossip, because with live wires like Britney Spears, Lil Wayne, Akon, Fergie, and Kanye West – the truth is far more interesting than conjecture.

However, I couldn’t pass this one up. It involves one of my favorite people, little Miss Sunshine, Rihanna.

Rumors are that X Factor winner, Alexandra Burke wanted to meet Rihanna’s boyfriend, Chris Brown. Apparently, like most people, Miss Burke is a huge fan. So, word is that Rihanna basically said, “Uh, no.”

You know how gossip goes – it’s just as likely to be true as not true. But from where I sit, I don’t think Rihanna would have even the tiniest reason to be jealous of Alexandra Burke, or anyone for that matter. In fact, in today’s news stories, there are accounts of Rihanna laughing as her man dirty dances on stage with other girls.

Doesn’t strike me as an insecure girl. I’d say that if the meeting didn’t happen, it wasn’t Rihanna’s fault. Come on, it’s just not that easy to meet someone like Chirs Brown!

Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Faith Hill, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Shakira and Stevie Wonder to perform at Neighborhood Inaugural Ball Airing Exclusively on ABC, Tuesday January 21.

Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and Bow Wow to perform with Rihanna, Billy Ray Cyrus, Keke Palmer, Usher and Shaquille O’Neal scheduled to appear during Kids’ Inaugural Concert Airing Exclusively on Disney Channel Monday, January 20.

On Monday, January 19th, Disney Channel will present “Kids’ Inaugural: We Are The Future,” a concert celebration from Washington, D.C. honoring military families. This inaugural concert celebration will be hosted by Mrs. Michelle Obama, Dr. Jill Biden and their families.

The event will be simulcast on Radio Disney, and will be streamed on Disney.com immediately following the culmination of the telecast on Disney Channel.

Apparently Kanye West will be the Musical guest on Saturday Night Live tonight – December 13, 2008. Yeah, that tonight.

Hugh Laurie, the brilliant actor from the equally brilliant “House” will be the host.
