Via the Huffington Post, Madonna has issued a call to action.
“I am making a straightforward request,” she began, “I’m writing to urge you to join me in saving the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable children. And I’m asking you to do it right away.”
Already pledging $100,000 to match outside donations dollar-for-dollar, Madonna explained that she felt connected to Malawi’s children in a special way. “Right now, I am particularly concerned about Malawian girls whose lives are made even more difficult simply because of their gender,” she wrote.
“The girls of Malawi are bright and resourceful,” she continued. “They are eager to learn and grow. When I look at my girls and see them thriving, it is my greatest wish that the girls in Malawi will have the same chance for happiness.”

She has her own sense of style. Again, like it or look away.

Donald Trump recently commented on reports that Madonna could lose half of her $500 million fortune in her divorce from director Guy Ritchie because the couple have no prenup.
Trump tells Life & Style, “I always thought she was smart — until now.”
Not cool of him to take a cheap shot like that. For one thing, who knows if they’re even legal in England. But more importantly, when she married, she married for love and obviously expected that the marriage would last.
Personally, I think more of her for NOT having a prenup.
It’s not like this one’s exactly out of right field…. third base, possibly… but not right field.
Madonna and film maker Guy Ritchie have announced that their marriage, after 8 years, is indeed over. The couple has two children (Rocco, 8, and David Banda, 3) and three homes to work out. Madonna also has a beautiful little girl, Lourdes, from an earlier relationship.

They have had a string of shouting matches about the amount of time each devotes to their careers, and over Madonna’s desire to adopt another child. These arguments smashed through their attempts at reconciliation “like a sledgehammer”.
Pals say Madge, 50, initially wanted to wait until next year to announce their separation — after her Sticky and Sweet global tour is finished. But now she and Brit movie director Guy, 40, want a divorce finalized before Christmas — which would have seen the eighth anniversary of their fairytale wedding in a Scottish castle.
Durning a recent live performance at Madison Square Garden, Madonna paused to take a few shots from a dancer’s hip flask. Then as she started to get back to work, she thought it’d be a wonderful idea to call out a fan in the front row. Sort of a “Thank you” for paying what he must’ve paid for the privilege? Reporters have said that the singer barked, “Are you f-ing bored, sir? Why are you sitting? I’m busting my ass up here!”
Then she told the crowd, “Clap for me! My ego is bruised now!”
In all fairness, several reports (from people who were there) say that she was “in the right” and that the bored man deserved to be singled out. Also, apparently when she told the audience to clap for her, she was trying to lighten the mood and even sort of laughed.
