Kelly Clarkson news

In the last post, I was hoping for Michael John’s career to be handled well – because, if it is, this guy will be a household name soon.

A perfect example of a singer handled poorly (the people who were supposedly there to help her basically shoved her under the bus) is another favorite of mine- Kelly Clarkson. She has wrapped up the recording for her fourth album which leaves me grinning like a cat that found a way into the canary’s cage. YESSSS!

Kelly has been touring with Reba McEntire this fall but will, hopefully, now focus her attentions on promoting album #4. Fans can expect an early 2009 release. She worked with many producers (such as Howard Benson and OneRepublic singer Ryan Tedder) on the cd. The first single is “My Life Would Suck Without You.”

Writer and producer Lukasz Gottwald, a.k.a. Dr. Luke, was involved with “My Life Would Suck Without You.” That bodes well considering the last two songs he was involved with were “Since U Been Gone” and “Behind These Hazel Eyes.” in which he cowrote the latter.

Dr. Luke has also worked with Daughtry, The Backstreet Boys, Leona Lewis as well as many others. He’s responsible for Pink’s single “U + Ur Hand” and teamed up with Avril Lavigne to cowrite and produce several songs including “Girlfriend.”

As if that’s not enough to prove he’s as good as it gets (especially for creating strong female songs), Dr. Luke’s also responsible for Katy Perry’s single “I Kissed A Girl” AND “Hot N Cold.”

To say that I’m anxious to hear this single would be the understatement of eternity.
