LeAnn Rimes. Bryan White. Two voices I could listen to forever and a day. These two aren’t on the radio nearly often enough! I dunno, it has something to do with the fact they’ve been living out their happily ever after with their families and all… They both wear happiness beautifully.

Bryan White has one of the best voices in country music. A quick visit to YouTube will quickly prove my point. Amazing voice, unbelievable song-writing talent, and he seems like a first-class person.

As for beautiful LeAnn Rimes (Did you see her at the CMA’s? – More gorgeous than ever, and obviously so happy!), her much anticipated new album, Lady & Gentlemen, is available on Amazon. But if I were stranded on an island and could listen only take two country female star’s cds with me… they’d be LeAnn Rimes and Patsy Cline.

One of my favorite bands, The Band Perry, just hit a milestone (something this trio had better get used to). Their latest hit single, “You Lie,” has now earned Gold certification from the RIAA for sales exceeding 500,000.

“You Lie” was written by The Henningsens (comprised of a dad, his daughter, and his son): Aaron (dad), Brian and Clara Henningsen.

“You Lie’ is full of spitfire and it’s our high-five to everyone who’s been the victim of a cheatin’ heart,” explained The Band Perry. “Only in Country music could a song about feeling fed-up be so much fun to sing. When we perform this one, we get a big ‘amen!’ back and we thank everyone who has joined in.”

This Henningsen family is from Illinois, but their talent has landed them in the country music mecca, Nashville.

They’ve written other songs for The Band Perry and penned “Alone” which was recorded by Sara Evans. If they’re anywhere near as good as “You Lie,” this family will soon be household names.

The song below, “Moonbeams,” was written by The Band Perry and The Henningsens. It’s performed by The Henningsens, and as you can tell – this is a group with big things ahead. Love Clara Henningsen’s voice.

A few of the questions could be chalked up to a simple lack of information (like not knowing that the Band Perry is made up of siblings), a lack of imagination (to ask questions that have been asked a hundred times before), or just a case of DOH!(Seriously, asking Gretchen Wilson where she’s puked?!?!) – but mostly it seems to be a case of reporters not putting in the work.. not doing their research. If the artists showed up THAT unprepared, they wouldn’t be working in the industry very long.

Speaking of which, I miss Jessica Simpson. Seriously. I’m in love with her voice. I just wish she remembered the words….

We make frequent trips to the Grand Ole Opry, but in a cruel stroke of bad luck, we weren’t there on the night Crystal Bowersox made her spontaneous Grand Ole Opry debut. Music legend Vince Gill gets major “cool guy” points for giving a young artist this kind of an opportunity. If I weren’t already a huge fan of his (and the distinguishable voice that has been behind some of country music’s best songs ever), I certainly would be now.

I LOVE how important the moment was to Crystal. Her excitement and enjoyment were as beautiful as her voice.

But, like you, at least I get to watch the video!

Granted. I’ve loved every song Bo Bice has ever performed. From the moment he burst into his American Idol audition with, “You can call me Bo!” – I’ve seen something in Mr. Bice that can only be called mad star quality.

You Take Yourself With You is one of his best songs yet. It’s off of Bo’s third album, 3 (You gotta admit, the title is classic Bo Bice!). The rocker fits into country music beautifully.

Country music fans love:

• killer vocals
• “meaningful” lyrics
• genuine people
• down to earth artists
• patriotism

Bo Bice nails each and every one – and then some.  And just between you and me…. I still think Bo or Constantine should have won their season.

Dr. Pepper has been a long-time friend of mine.  I fell in love with Dr. Pepper and started drinking it (by the gallons)  in Jr. High School.   When I got a little older and decided the calories weren’t on my side anymore, I switched to Diet Dr. Pepper and it has been my constant companion for years. A bottle or glass is never too far away.

Dr Pepper Continues its Support of the Academy of Country Music

Dr Pepper has partnered with hit country music group Lady Antebellum to give one lucky fan an unrivaled experience at the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM Awards) in Las Vegas this April. As a music fanatic, I have a lot of different favorites. When someone asks who my favorite female singer, male singer, or group is – the answers often vary. Sometimes it depends on who I’ve been listening to that day. But, when it comes to my favorite female artists, five-time Grammy Award winner Faith Hill is always amongst the top 3 I name. There’s just something about her voice that makes everything in the world RIGHT. A lot of artists have talent, but some of them just have an extra something IT that sets them apart. Beautiful Faith Hill is teaming up with the world’s leading flower delivery service, Teleflora, for the creation of “The Collection by Faith Hill.”

Her first perfume (Faith Hill) is probably the best perfume on the market. It’s my favorite and, if you’ve ever sampled the perfume, you’ll know why. There’s no reason to expect that her Teleflora line will be anything but exceptional.

Maybe it Was Memphis is one of those songs you just get lost it – hoping and praying you’re never found. Outstanding lyrics and music combined with the voice of a Southern Angel (Pam Tillis) make for a song I could listen to all day, every day.
