Reportedly Beyonce and Jay-Z had eyes only for each other as they dined on martinis, wine and delicious desserts at their favorite spot in Melbourne Monday night.
As a fan, I’m loving all the reports that the king and queen of hip hop don’t act like spoiled prima donnas when they go out. Bystanders say they don’t put on airs at all.
They’ve actually kept kind of a low profile and have more or less flown under the radar while in Melbourne, kind of sticking to themselves and preferring to dine out on romantic places rather than nightclubs. Beyonce’s never struck me as a nightclub kind of gal anyway. The lady has too much style for that.
Beyonce and Jay Z have shown a great love for Melbourne chef Ian Curley’s cuisine.
The’ve visited Curley’s Spring St restaurants Siglo Bar and The Supper Club a handful of times while here, with Jay-Z dropping in for a quick bite at The European on his birthday last Saturday.
But Monday night was something extra special. Beyonce wore what has been called a “dazzling dress” while Jay Z wore a head-turning suit.
The loving couple – dressed to the nines – dined together on Siglo Bar’s rooftop.
Curley, who served the couple, said the zucchini flowers proved an obvious favorite during the week.
“They were beautiful, nice people,” Curley said.
“They sat together all night and were in no way prima donnas – there were no egg-white omelets ordered, if you know what I mean.
“They looked like any normal couple yet are multi-million-dollar megastars . . . and they tipped well.”
