Rantings of a Bucky and Ace Fan

First of all, I HATED seeing Bucky leave! That one hurt. I love his voice and hope to hear him doing country rock on the radio in the near future.

I wonder what would happen if the idols just performed and then we voted – with no judges comments. They always have people they try to push – last year it was Carrie, the year before that it was Fantasia and this year it’s Kelly and Taylor.

We’re all capable of watching and judging a performance. I’m sure there are people who see and hear someone’s song and have an initial thought, only to be swayed by what the so-called experts say. The typical person probably saw Taylor perform and thought, “He just made a fool of himself!!” – But then two out of three of the judges hail him as the second coming and the person thinks, “Oh, he was just being Taylor.”

Same thing with Ace, who the judges pick on like mad. He gives a GREAT performance and then the experts tear him apart….so how many people then think, “I guess he wasn’t as good as I thought. I hadn’t noticed the pitchiness or him forgetting words.”

The way Ace is treated reminds me of how they did Constantine last year. Absolutely no respect. But Ace is handling it as cooly as Con did.

While I’m all fired up, why in the world does Simon keep saying that Chris is disappointing the fans at home? Apparently freakin’ not….he hasn’t touched the bottom 3 yet. He’s giving his fans what they want – he isn’t compromising himself or trying to be something he isn’t. Like Ace, they’re being themselves – just like Bo and Con did last year. In the end, the four of them will be bigger than any of the chosen ones.

Catharine’s clips were very, very sweet and I teared up when her dad did – that got me! They seen like a really sweet family, and she just gets prettier and prettier every day.
