Beautiful! Faith Hill and Tony Bennett perform “The Way You Look Tonight” on CMT’s Big New Music Weekend. This song is now my new obsession – my cat already knows the words by heart. She’s not complaining, though. Huge Faith Hill fan.
I’d love, love, love to see Faith Hill put out an album filled with this type of music. Her vocals are made for it. Then again, her vocals are made for absolutely anything they’re in the mood to try. If you don’t believe me, ask my cat.
Of all the countless The Beatles posters and art prints, this one’s probably my favorite. The song below, Help, also happens to be a favorite Beatles song. If anyone isn’t a fan of The Beatles, they just aren’t paying attention.

OneRepublic Good Life Music Video:
Good Life by OneRepublic? I could listen to it three days straight. Outstanding music, outstanding vocals, outstanding song. Make that 6 days straight…
Jason Mecier isn’t your ordinary artist. Instead of paints, pencils, or charcoal, he works with trash. Literal trash. He collects trash and discarded items from celebrities, then uses it to create a portrait. The one above, of Lady Gaga, is one of my favorites.
Blending together rhythmic pop, urban and electronic music, the duo, speakers, are taking over the clubs this Fall with their infectious club track, Bass. Go behind-the-scenes with speakers, made up of singer/rapper/lyricist Keon B. and producer Blair, on the set of Bass for a sneak peek at the revealing music video.
The official video for Bass will premiere later this week on VEVO. In the meantime, find out more about speakers on their official site, Facebook, and Twitter.
More About speakers:
Bold and insistently experimental, the sound of speakers dances amid the worlds of rhythmic pop, urban, and electronic music — the result of the restless imagination of its creators: singer, rapper, and lyricist Keon B and musician-producer Blair Taylor. The duo began working together last fall and decided to label their collaboration speakers because “you can’t hear the music without speakers,” explains Keon. Adds Blair: “And you need two, a left and a right. We are not one without the other.” The chemistry between these two artists, both age 21, is palpable throughout the tracks they are creating for their debut album, which will be released by Virgin Records, in conjunction with independent label Newco (where the duo were first discovered by Troy Carter and Matt Michelsen), in early 2012. Songs like “Bass,” “Gimme Go,” and “Kill Me” are massive party anthems, replete with big hooks and persistently pounding beats that draw from the high energy “bounce” sound that originated in Blair’s hometown of New Orleans. Now based in Los Angeles, the duo have been feverishly writing and recording. “What motivates us is trying to figure out how to communicate,” Keon says. “We were given this ability and we want to use it to help change people’s lives.”
One of my favorite bands of all-time is The Rolling Stones. The music, the showmanship, the lyrics, the timeless songs – there’s nothing about this band I don’t love madly. Fellow fanatics, enjoy the Rolling Stones posters and videos. If you aren’t a fanatic, pay closer attention. You’ll get there.
Here’s Chris Rene’s amazing and memorable X-Factor 2011 audition. This one still stops me in my tracks and blows me away. Best of luck, Chris Rene – you have millions of new people in your corner pulling for you now.
At this moment, if I had to listen to one song every day for the rest of my life, it’d be Skyscraper by Demi Lovato… and I’d pray for two lifetimes. Demi’s powerful vocals and emotion make this a very, very special song and video.
Keep it coming, Demi. This music blog may just be your biggest fan.
Johnny Cash posters and art prints are huge and why not? He’s one of the greatest talents the world has ever known and he was a very complex, colorful, and fascinating person on top of it.
