No small feat. Bumping Mariah Carey off of a spot she wants to be on. But D4L’s “Laffy Taffy” jumped up three spots to claim the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.
Honestly, I’m not any wilder about the Laffy Taffy song than I am her’s.
Chris Brown’s “Run It!” was Number 2 while Nickelback’s “Photograph” is number 3. Hmmmm, don’t like those either.
(Here come my faves!) Kanye West’s “Gold Digger” (wonderfully featuring Jamie Foxx) was number 4 and Nelly’s “Grillz” (featuring Paul Wall, Ali and Gipp) was number 5. What a great, great song! If there’s any justice in the world, Kanye and Nelly will soon leap frog over the rest and sit on top – where they should be.
I’d also like to see Beyonce and Gwen strut up higher as well – though I liked Gwen’s first two songs off of her CD better than this one. She’s still better than MC in my book…
