Jessica and Ashlee Simpson Try to Make Pop Stop

Us Weekly is reporting that both Ashlee and Jessica are fed up with thier father’s controlling and “obnoxious” ways. Both girls seem to be at a place in their lives where they realize they’re perfectly capable of thinking and acting for themselves.

Now it seems that if their father/manager can’t deal with that…too freakin’ bad.

The dad has creeped some people out with his frankness. For example, when he said, “Jessica never tries to be sexy, she just is sexy … She’s got double D’s; you can’t cover those suckers up,” most people covered their ears and started humming loudly.

He also felt compelled to tell MTV once all about how he helped Jessica pick out her first bra. Dude, get past it! Er, past them.

Anyway, Jessica and Ashlee have so much talent that it’s ridiculous. And they’re smart girls, too – I love the fact that they seem to realize that now.

Hopefully it’ll all work out in a way leaving everyone happy.

Did you hear about Nick’s comments about Joe? In an interview, he was asked if he’d rather be trapped on a desert island with Joe or “Satan, Prince of Darkness.” Apparently Nick paused for just a second and said, “I might take my chances with Satan, Prince of Darkness.”

Also, during the interview, he never referred to Jessica by name…only as his “ex-wife.” His reasoning? “I can’t do that,” he admitted. “My therapist says it’s not healthy.”
