Not long ago I posted something to the effect of never sing a song that Whitney Houston has sung - that to do so was just setting yourself up for failure, ridicule, or both (or something like that).

It appears that I sould have said UNLESS your name is Leona Lewis, in which case you can sing anything in the world that anyone in the world has ever sung, and blow everyone in the world away.

Check out today’s featured video - it’s from 2006, when Leona Lewis was X Factor, the British competition she, of course, went on to win. How could she not???

David Cook and Michael Johns were nothing short of amazing last night.

I was so impressed with their vocals - and I LOVED the arrangement with Billie Jean.

Carly Smithson is easily one of my top three ALL TIME favorite American Idol females. Before the season’s over, she may just be number one.

In more ways than one.

One of the best female performances ever on American Idol. I’ll buy any and every cd this girl ever puts out.

Let’s remember David on a good note!

I absolutely, positively can’t get this song off of my mind. Listen to it a few times - you’ll love it more and more each time.

David Cook has become one of the ones to beat this year, in my opinion. His last two performances have been incredible!
