Katy Perry Talks About Teenage Dream

The Euphoria of Teenage Love

Katy Perry sat down to talk about her new album Teenage Dream and how she decided on the title.  The pop princess talks about the euphoric feeling that teenage love brings and how she wanted that to translate to the record.

Katy will be performing her new single “Firework” off of Teenage Dream at the upcoming Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show airing November 30th on CBS.

Teenage Dream

Katy Perry may have been booted off of Sesame Street – but she’s always more than welcome on our music blog. Here’s the clip, Hot and Cold, that got Katy kicked to the Sesame Street curb:

Personally, I don’t have a problem with it. Her personality and charisma shone through as always. I love Katy Perry’s sense of humor and personality. She seems to genuinely love life and has a lot of fun with her fame. You can keep your depressing, morbid, music artists – give me the upbeat, fun, happy performers like Katy Perry any day of the week.

Even if she has…. egads!…. boobies.

There’s a difference between boys and girls, even Elmo knows it. Katy Perry is simply a most excellent example of this fact.

What do you think? Should Sesame Street have pulled the Katy Perry performance from the episode? You already know what I think, they should have boldly left it in place. However, if they were afraid of what some people would have said, they could have “creatively” and “strategically” edited the film, featuring more of Katie’s lovely face.

Katy Perry on the Set of California Girls Video:

Katy Perry

Katy Perry has become such a favorite artist of mine – I can’t even tell you how much I like her. She’s a total breath of fresh (and fun) air compared to so most female artists, and the girl’s freaking talented.

One of the things I love most about Katy is that she seems to have been put on earth to have a good time and is determined to do her job!

Here are the scoops of what this lovely lady has been up to lately.

Are Katy Perry and Josh Grobin Dating?
Sources say that Katy Perry and crooner Josh Grobin are, in fact, dating. They’re trying to keep a low profile, which explains why there aren’t pictures scattered all over the internet.

Katy Gets Pissed On
“Jeremy Scott is one of my all time favourites and he shot the pictures while I got to prance around in his creations,” she wrote on her blog. “I had a chimp on set with me that day. Fun fact, she peed all over me, I had to take a silkwood shower in the middle of shooting.”

The “Silkwood shower,” of course, refers to the infamous shower scene from the movie Silkwood. No doubt Katy did some intense scrubbing.

With Gwen Stefani being away from the music scene lately (making beautiful babies), I’m glad we have Katy Perry to keep things fresh and fun. I love the way she doesn’t take things too seriously. That’s also one of my favorite things about Gwen Stefani.

They’re both beautiful, fun, and incredibly talented. They also tend to wear things that no one else could ever get away with!

Here’s a video of Michael Johns (one of the most talented Idols ever) singing a song from his upcoming album.

Can you believe just how talented the contestants last season were? Michael Johns, David Cook, Carly Smithson… If they’re cds and publicity are handled well (more about Kelly Clarkson in a minute – *cough cough*) these three will be the superstars they deserve to be.

I can’t wait to see and hear what each comes up with.

Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus gets more and more beautiful every day. Love her dress, too. As for Katy’s outfit – all I can say is she makes it work, somehow.

Kanye WestThere are only two weeks to go before the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, and the excitement’s growing like wildfire.

Kanye, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Katy Perry… so many great artists are up for awards. Kanye should win with Good Life, but I’ve thought that before. Frankly, he should have accumulated a shelf full of awards for his videos by now. He’s a creative genius and we all know it. Why not just give him his awards and sleep well at night?!
