LeAnn Rimes. Bryan White. Two voices I could listen to forever and a day. These two aren’t on the radio nearly often enough! I dunno, it has something to do with the fact they’ve been living out their happily ever after with their families and all… They both wear happiness beautifully.
Bryan White has a lot going on this Holiday Season. Visit his official website for information on his second annual Christmas Tour. See Bryan White Christmas Tour Dates for information. Bryan White singing Christmas songs? There’s nothing about that I don’t love.
Bryan White has one of the best voices in country music. A quick visit to YouTube will quickly prove my point. Amazing voice, unbelievable song-writing talent, and he seems like a first-class person.
As for beautiful LeAnn Rimes (Did you see her at the CMA’s? – More gorgeous than ever, and obviously so happy!), her much anticipated new album, Lady & Gentlemen, is available on Amazon. You can hear samples of the great songs by clicking the link or image below. I love a lot of different musical artists and, like everyone, have my personal favorites Country female stars. But if I were stranded on an island and could listen only take two country female star’s cds with me… they’d be LeAnn Rimes and Patsy Cline.
Order Lady & Gentlemen today and grab copies for gift-giving. LeAnn’s back and she isn’t taking any prisoners.
I loved Kellie Pickler since her audition round on American Idol. There was just something about her that made me smile – and still does. Love her voice, her personality, her style… all of it. I’ve been anxiously awaiting new stuff from her and, boy, she didn’t disappoint. Tough may be my favorite Kellie Pickler song yet. Her music and her vocals always have so much strength and heart.
Kellie’s long-awaited third studio album is titled’100 Proof.’ The talented and beautiful singer/songwriter recently revealed (live on the Grand Ole Opry stage -now that’s doing it with style!) that the release date is January 24. According to Kellie, this album shows her fans a more “mature” side of her.
Beautiful! Faith Hill and Tony Bennett perform “The Way You Look Tonight” on CMT’s Big New Music Weekend. This song is now my new obsession – my cat already knows the words by heart. She’s not complaining, though. Huge Faith Hill fan.
I’d love, love, love to see Faith Hill put out an album filled with this type of music. Her vocals are made for it. Then again, her vocals are made for absolutely anything they’re in the mood to try. If you don’t believe me, ask my cat.
Johnny Cash posters and art prints are huge and why not? He’s one of the greatest talents the world has ever known and he was a very complex, colorful, and fascinating person on top of it.
Ourmusic blog loves Jason Aldean, so this is an especially exciting post!
Jason Aldean’s fourth album, My Kinda Party, has been certified double platinum for shipments of 2 million copies. The album’s singles include the title track and “Don’t You Wanna Stay” featuring Kelly Clarkson, which are both certified as platinum digital singles signifying 1 million downloads.
In addition, the wonderfully original and fun “Dirt Road Anthem” has been certified as a double platinum single for 2 million downloads. Aldean’s current single from My Kinda Party is “Tattoos on This Town.”
Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson Perform Don’t You Wanna Stay:
One of my favorite bands, The Band Perry, just hit a milestone (something this trio had better get used to). Their latest hit single, “You Lie,” has now earned Gold certification from the RIAA for sales exceeding 500,000.
“You Lie” was written by The Henningsens (comprised of a dad, his daughter, and his son): Aaron (dad), Brian and Clara Henningsen.
“You Lie’ is full of spitfire and it’s our high-five to everyone who’s been the victim of a cheatin’ heart,” explained The Band Perry. “Only in Country music could a song about feeling fed-up be so much fun to sing. When we perform this one, we get a big ‘amen!’ back and we thank everyone who has joined in.”
This Henningsen family is from Illinois, but their talent has landed them in the country music mecca, Nashville.
They’ve written other songs for The Band Perry and penned “Alone” which was recorded by Sara Evans. If they’re anywhere near as good as “You Lie,” this family will soon be household names.
The song below, “Moonbeams,” was written by The Band Perry and The Henningsens. It’s performed by The Henningsens, and as you can tell – this is a group with big things ahead. Love Clara Henningsen’s voice.
A few of the questions could be chalked up to a simple lack of information (like not knowing that the Band Perry is made up of siblings), a lack of imagination (to ask questions that have been asked a hundred times before), or just a case of DOH!(Seriously, asking Gretchen Wilson where she’s puked?!?!) – but mostly it seems to be a case of reporters not putting in the work.. not doing their research. If the artists showed up THAT unprepared, they wouldn’t be working in the industry very long.
Speaking of which, I miss Jessica Simpson. Seriously. I’m in love with her voice. I just wish she remembered the words….
Congratulations to 17 year old Scotty McCreery, the Season 10 winner of American Idol! I really thought Scotty and Lauren were the ones to beat this season. Their voices are just impeccable.
Be sure to grab his single “I Love You This Big” along with his Season 10 compilation album, which features full-length versions of 13 tracks that he performed while competing on the show, including Lonestar’s “Amazed” and “Gone” by Matchbox 20.
Runner-up Lauren Alaina’s new single “Like My Mother Does” is also available for download, on its own or part of her compilation album. Lauren Alaina American Idol Season 10 features her version of tracks by Faith Hill, Miley Cyrus, Elton John and 10 additional performances.
Both singles and the compilation albums are available now, exclusively on iTunes.
This was a wonderful season of American Idol – so much talent. The tour should really be something else!
