Last night’s AI was one of the more entertaining ones, I thought. Not necessarily for the talent – there wasn’t a lot of that – but I thought the judges were really on top of their game. Funny stuff.
I did love two of the young girls – Kellie Pickler (the one who lives with her grandfather )and Paris Bennett (the one who came with her grandmother). They were really, really talented and seemed like sweet kids. I’m pulling for both of them to go far.
I was also glad to see a fellow Kentuckian make it. It was the first Kentuckian I can remember from an audition and the cat made it through. Good for him!
The moron at the end isn’t even worth mentioning, but I was disappointed that they even gave her a minute of airtime. Her obnoxious, nasty, bordering on too ignorant to function presence is the ugly side of this show – nothing fun about it. I’d rather have seen more of the guy who looked like a male Rosie O’Donnell on his red carpet. At least he made sense to me.
