Fergie - Big Girls Don’t Have Time to Cry

Fergie’s a very busy girl, lately. First she gets herself engaged to her actor boyfriend, she recently launched a Spring 2008 Handbag Collection, she gave a mind-blowing concert in Atlantic City on the 29th (when the pictures in the post were taken), and she’s set to ring in 2008 on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. No rest for the wickedly hot.

Ryan, Rockers, and Romance

Romance is on Ryan Seacrest’s mind. In fact, one of the things he hopes 2008 brings is a special someone to share it with.

“I think, in a way, my goal is to focus on a little bit more balance,” he told PEOPLE at a recent photo shoot. “I really haven’t been out with anybody. … This week I’ll literally work seven days, and I’ll get home at 10 p.m.”

When asked how he’d find time for romance, he said he hadn’t figured that part out yet.

Ryan will host New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Dick Clark and Fergie. About his co-hosts, he told PEOPLE: “He’s doing alright,” says Seacrest. “He and Fergie and I were doing a photo shoot, and Fergie couldn’t have looked better. Dick gave some vintage looks to [the] camera when he saw her gorgeous legs and body in this little skirt.”

He also talked about American Idol’s upcoming seventh season (premiering Jan. 15!). “This year, you will see us go back to our roots. We’re going to focus more on the kids – where they came from, the background, what they did for a living. We also have more rockers this year.”

“We also have more rockers this year.” Yeah, I know I already said it - I just wanted to say it again.

Jessica Simpson’s Recording a Country CD

Jessica Simpson’s country album will be released sometime in 2008 on Columbia Nashville, according to Billboard. She tells the magazine she’s been collaborating with Nashville songwriters, and that because she’s from Texas, she grew up listening to country music and has always wanted to make a country album. In the article, she cites Martina McBride, Shania Twain, Faith Hill and Reba McEntire as inspirations.

Jessica is a ridiculously talented girl. She can act, sing, write, design….. She has one of the most amazing voices I’ve ever heard - and I love her song writing. She and Ashlee are both really good at writing.

Jessica has been good to movies, but they haven’t been very good to her - as a matter of fact, with the exception of DOH, her movies have been Brutus to her Ceasar. E tu, Blonde Ambition?

Anyway, she’s back in the recording studio and I couldn’t be happier. She’ll be an absolutely perfect fit and I think she’ll set records with her sales.
