Beautiful Katharine McPhee is taking on Hollywood. She’s set to take on a starring role in the indie film The Last Caller.

In her words:
“This is the first thing that I read that I really wanted to do, I’m up for a couple of big studio projects, but they weren’t starring roles. I wanted to start off doing something a little different. It’s something that a lot of people wouldn’t expect me doing.”

Kat’s character is a “…self-obsessed woman seeking love and affirmation from random encounters with other seekers.” The fact that her character will be much darker than she is, herself, is a reason Katharine wanted to play her.

It’s set to start filming in NYC in the fall.

I’m one of the biggest Fergie fans in the world - love everything about her. If I had to listen to just one CD for the rest of my life, it’d be a close call between about 10, but I think her’s would win in the end.

She was at the MTV Movie Awards with her boyfriend, Josh Duhamel. He’ll be in the upcoming monster of a movie, Transformers on July4. I predict that it’ll be the biggest movie of the summer - even bigger than Spidey, Harry, or The Pirates. I may be wrong - I think it’s happened once or twice in my life before - but I think this movie will break all kinds of records.

Anyway, back to my girl. Fergie looked gorgeous! She had very, very little make-up on and it worked for her. She’s one of those girls who, personally, I think looks their best without much fuss. She just doesn’t need it.
