My Problem With Madonna

The picture below sums up my problem with Madonna. Sure, she gave whoredom a whole new meaning - but I figure live and let live. Her lifestyle is her choice, and she’ll have to deal with anything that comes along because of it.

I like her music very much…I like her style. I LOVE her devotion to her family and her recent adoption of a beautiful baby boy. I also like the fact that she recently came out defending her friend Rosie…standing up for your friends is always cool.

I don’t agree with all of her political views, but I do admire her for having the brass to make her opinions known. I don’t like her lack of patriotism or loyalty to her country. Seems like she only wants to acknowledge the states when she wants to sell us something. Not cool.

But her blatant disrespect for God and her constant need to show that disrespect is what makes me have very little respect or tolerance for her or her sideshow. The picture kind of says it all.

American Idol Songs

MSN did an article on the top 5 songs they’d like to see retired from American Idol. I agree with each, except for the first one - sorry, but I’m just not ready to put Kelly Clarkson in the untouchable diva’s category just yet.

But the bigger problem I have with the list is the fact that they left the most glaringly obvious song off the list entirely - Alicia Key’s Falling. No one will every match her or even come close. Truthfully I’m not sure why anyone would even try, unless there’s a part of them that’s just dying to be told that they aren’t Alicia.

Speaking of Alicia…would she please, would she please, would she please please come out with something new?! Her music is to me what catnip is to my cat.
