Jessica and Ashlee Cause a Reverend to Rant

From the Man, I wish I was making this up files…. A priest has lashed out against Ashlee and Jessica Simpson as well as Daddy Joe:

“Their father has replaced his faith in the Lord with the love of money, which is the root of all evil. He has replaced holiness with horniness. Jessica and Ashlee will reap the dismal crops they are sowing. Their breasts will sag and their faces will wither and they will be left with nothing but a hollow shell. They don’t represent American standards and certainly not Christian standards.”

Dismal crops? Holiness - horniness? Their breasts will sag and their faces will wither???

What came over this guy?!!! With all the things going on in the world right now, I can understand wanting to lash out - it can be overwhelming, alright. But, to lash out at two 20 something year old girls - calling them by name. Not cool. Not even remotely.

And the ranting about their faces and breasts - last I checked, time took its toll on everyone……

Justin’s Bringing Sexy Back

I’ve said it before, and I’m sure I’ll say it a million more times - Justin Timberlake’s new cd (Future Sex/Love Sounds) is amazing. While we weren’t watching (and it’s best that we weren’t), Cameron went and made a man out of the cute little boy from n’Sync. Every song’s a potential #1 hit…and I know I’ve said that too.

But ’tis true.

Beyonce Pictures from September 14

Beyonce, pulling off The Lady in Red quite unlike anyone else, was at the MuchMusic Studios in Toronto on September 14, 2006.

She’s popping up everywhere, promoting her new CD. I’ve only heard a few songs from it, but judging by them, alone, this one’s a complete winner. She’ll be on Tyra’s show tomorrow - the previews look like it’ll be a pretty fun interview.

A Few Random-ish Thoughts

…..If you want to see the most ridiculous thing you’ve probably (hopefully, anyway) seen in awhile, go to http://www.britneyspears.com - watch the tiger.

…..Have you bought the new Justin Timberlake CD - Future Sex/Love Sounds? If you only buy one CD this year, this would be the one to grab. It’s amazing, off the charts, perfect, hot - okay, insert any positive adjective you can come up with. Every single song could be a runaway hit - literally. I’d be very surprised if this one didn’t break all kinds of records.

…..Beyonce’s “Ring the Alarm” video is better than 3 of the last 4 movies I’ve seen. The directing, the acting, the music, the sets - everything’s just perfect.

….. Blue October’s “Hate Me” is one of the most haunting songs I’ve ever heard —beautifully written and flawlessly sung. I love it when artists seemingly spring out of nowhere and hit it huge. (Of course, they really didn’t come from nowhere and have been working long and hard for this.) Great, great, great song.

……I keep having to remind myself how young Rihanna is. She’s so unbelievably talented and handles herself with such maturity - and she isn’t even 20 yet. If she keeps her head on straight, her career should be one for the ages.
