Ashlee Simpson On Her Music and the SNL Fiasco
Ashlee Simpson and sister Jessica will appear on the cover of the next Teen People. Inside, among other things, Ashlee talks about her controversial past year.
“Yeah I messed up in front of everybody. I love to sing. It’s a joy to me. I don’t do it for anyone else — I do it for me. I’ve had to learn that my voice is the most important one. Otherwise, I’ll drown in what everyone wants me to be.”

Jessica Simpson Coping with the Craziness
Jessica Simpson has said, in an upcoming Teen People, that all the public scrutiny of her marriage has driven her to see a therapist.
“Yes I have (seen a therapist), I respect knowledge of the psyche. I would be a therapist if I weren’t an entertainer. Hopefully mine and Nick’s story will continue for the rest of our lives, like what we vowed, through sickness and in health.”
Despite the media’s claims, Jessica and Nick claim that they’re still together.

NEW YORK, Sept. 29 (UPI) — “American Idol” loser Constantine Maroulis has signed to star in an ABC sitcom, People magazine reports.
The as yet unnamed show is being produced by Kelsey Grammer’s company, Maroulis told People.
Maroulis, 30, who finished in sixth place last season, says “Idol” was the “best thing that’s ever happened to me” and so was losing.
“I’m not cursed with that stigma of being the American Idol,” he said.
In addition to the TV deal, Maroulis is also busy recording a solo album.
